🏫 Online Classroom for Kids: Class Mode for Teachers
Online classroom for kids is simple with Class Mode. A teacher or parent creates a class in a minute, picks the lessons and games children should practise, and shares a short join code. Pupils open the code, choose a friendly animal and type their roll number, so no names are ever shared. As they work, you see their stars on one screen. Free to use on phones, tablets and computers.

Class Mode turns Kids Learning App into a simple online classroom for kids that any teacher, tutor or parent can run. Instead of sending many separate links, you build one class, choose the lessons and games you want children to practise, and share a single join code. Children enter the code, pick an animal avatar and type their roll number. That is all they need — no names, no email addresses and no accounts. The teacher sees a clear list of animals and roll numbers with the stars each pupil has earned, so progress is easy to follow during the period or at home.
How to use Class Mode step by step
Class Mode is built for busy classrooms and small home study groups. Follow these steps:
- Create a class. Give it a short label such as Class 3B or Evening Group.
- Pick lessons. Add activities from across the site — spelling, tables, puzzles, maps and more.
- Share the code. Write it on the board, read it aloud or send it to parents.
- Pupils join. Each child chooses an animal and enters their roll number from the class register.
- Watch the stars. Your screen updates as children finish activities, so you can spot who needs help.
The same code can be reused for the next session, so children quickly learn the routine and settle into work faster.
Benefits of a shared class code
- Privacy first: children are identified only by an animal and a roll number you already use.
- No logins: nothing to remember, nothing to reset, no time lost at the start of a lesson.
- Works on any device: phones, tablets, school computers and shared lab machines.
- One screen for the teacher: see who has started, who has finished and who is stuck.
- Flexible: use it for revision, early finishers, holiday practice or parent-led home learning.
- Completely free: every lesson and game in the class is free to use.
Ideas by age
Ages 4 to 6. Keep the class short and picture based. Add letter and sound practice, counting games and simple matching activities. Five to ten minutes is plenty for one sitting, and the animal avatars make joining feel like a game.
Ages 7 to 9. Build a mixed class with reading, writing and number work. A popular combination is a few pages from the Learn English course followed by speed practice with Multiplication Tables. Finish with a Word Search as a reward activity.
Ages 10 to 15. Older pupils enjoy classes that stretch them: grammar practice, logic puzzles such as Kids Sudoku, and geography rounds using India and World Maps. Set a target number of stars for the week and let pupils choose the order in which they work.
Tips for parents and teachers
- Keep the list short. Three to five activities per class is usually enough for one session.
- Mix hard and easy. Start with something familiar so every child earns a star early.
- Use the roll number list. Share it with pupils before they join so nobody guesses or doubles up.
- Project the teacher view. Showing the class board on the board builds gentle, friendly motivation.
- Pair up on shared devices. Two children on one tablet can take turns and talk through answers.
- Send the code home. Parents can run the same class as weekend or holiday revision.
- Praise effort, not speed. Remind children that stars show practice, not a ranking of ability.
Safe and simple by design
Because pupils never type their real names, Class Mode suits schools that are careful about children's data. There is no chat, no profile picture upload and no way for children to message each other. Everything stays inside the lesson. Teachers remain in control of which activities are included, and can edit the class or start a fresh one at any time. If a device is shared, simply refresh and let the next child join with their own animal and roll number.
